Event Cinemas goes 3D/ Stereoscopic

In other 3D TV news, EdgeDP, engaged Digital Pictures (formerly The Lab Sydney) to create the animated 3D stereoscopic pre-show titles for Event Cinema’s premium brands: VMax and Gold Class.

Digital Pictures completed the 3D animation and 2D compositing of the pre-show titles headed up by design director, Finnegan Spencer, who was instrumental in conceptualizing the animation in a 3D environment.

Spencer said “Having completed a number of 3D design identity projects, our design and 3D team were able to showcase the depth and space that Event Cinema’s 3D technology can offer in order to enrich audiences 3D cinematic experience. The team really enjoyed working on this project.”

Event Cinema’s released the campaign in its VMax and Gold Class cinemas nationally in December.
